Update / Päivitys

Dear members and friends of Camberley Finnish School,

We hope that you and your families are safe and well. As children are returning to schools, we wanted to provide you with an update regarding our Finnish School.

The Trustees of the Camberley Finnish School have been in constant communication with Samuel Cody, but unfortunately due to the pandemic, Samuel Cody is not able to let the space for public use. This means that we will not be able to start lessons as planned this September. The situation will be reviewed this autumn.

This is obviously a difficult situation, but the Board is looking at different venues until Samuel Cody can open to public use again. In the interim we are looking at setting up virtual lessons and will inform you of these in due course.

We understand that this is a situation that we do not want to be in, but we are working hard towards having normal lessons resume as soon as possible in 2020. We would welcome any suggestions or ideas from our members to going forward. Please email these to contact@suomikoulu.org. We are finding out about virtual lessons.

As a UK registered charity, the Camberley Finnish School needs to hold an AGM in September. This will be held on Saturday 26^th September at 11am online using Google Meet. Hei kaikki Camberleyn suomikoululaiset ja Suomi-koulun ystävät,

Toivomme, että te ja perheenne olette pysyneet terveinä ja turvassa tämän vuoden aikana. Lapset ovat palaamassa kouluihin, joten halusimme lähettää teille viestin koskien Camberleyn Suomi-koulun syksyä.
Camberleyn Suomi-koulun johtokunta on ollut koko kesän yhteydessä Samuel Codyn johtoon, ja valitettavasti heidän syyskuisen päätöksen mukaan emme voi vuokrata heidän tiloja koulumme käyttöömme tällä hetkellä. Tilanne arvioidaan uudelleen syksyllä.

Tilanne on kaikille tietysti vaikea, mutta johtokunta etsii muita mahdollisia tiloja, joita voisimme käyttää kunnes pääsemme takaisin Samuel Codyn tiloihin. Olisimme oikein kiitollisia, jos jäsenillämme olisi ehdotuksia näihin. Toivomme ideat osoitteeseen contact@suomikoulu.org. Olemme myös miettineet online virtuaali-opetusta, mutta tästä tiedotamme mahdollisimman pian.

Olemme UK:ssa rekisteröitynyt hyväntekeväisyysjärjestö, joten sääntöjen ja lain mukaan meidän on järjestettävä vuosikokous (AGM) syyskuun 2020 aikana. Kokous pidetään lauantaina 26. syyskuuta klo 11.00, Google Meet.
